Breathwork - Tommy Inkilä

Swedish

When we experience something that brings up emotions too overwhelming to fully process in the moment, our body often responds. We tense up, our breathing becomes shallower, and something within us contracts.Sometimes, these responses stay with us long after the experience itself has passed. Over time, they can develop into habitual patterns of tension, emotional protection, and triggers, often without us even being aware of them. Most of us carry experiences like these.Layers of past experiences that shape how we feel, react, and relate to the world around us.When the body remains in a constant state of alertness, it can affect our perspective and our ability to be fully present. It may become harder to let go of control, connect deeply with others, and make space for creativity, joy, and intimacy. For me, breathwork is a way of exploring what can be difficult to access through the thinking mind alone.Through conscious breathing, we create an opportunity to explore the body's responses, connect with our emotions, and make space for change.I offer individual and group breathwork sessions and have been guiding both individuals and companies for the past four years. My own experience with breathwork has been deeply meaningful, particularly in working through old emotional wounds and deeply ingrained patterns. If you'd like to learn more about my personal journey, you can read more in the About Me section.

Benefits of Breathwork

From Stress to Relaxation

Slow, gentle breathing activates the parasympathetic nervous system, often referred to as the "rest and digest" system. This helps the body slow down and enter a more relaxed state.

Supports Vagus Nerve Function

Breathing with a longer exhale may support vagal activity, which plays a role in recovery, relaxation, and emotional regulation.

Lowers Heart Rate and Blood Pressure

Slow, rhythmic breathing can help lower heart rate and, in some cases, blood pressure, supporting a greater sense of calm and safety in the body.

Improves Heart Rate Variability (HRV)

Controlled breathing can positively influence heart rate variability (HRV), a measure associated with the body's ability to adapt to stress and recover.

Expanded States of Consciousness

Breathwork can create experiences of expanded awareness, a greater sense of connection, and new perspectives. Some people describe profound shifts in their sense of identity, meaning, or connection to life.

Emotional Release

Breathwork can bring emotions and physical sensations to the surface. Some people experience crying, laughter, shaking, or a sense of emotional release as they reconnect with their bodies.

Testimonials

Mimmi
"Tommy creates such a profound sense of safety and love that letting go feels completely natural.
After his session, I was amazed by how much joy I could feel within myself. Just moments earlier, I had been crying and shaking as unprocessed emotions came to the surface.
And that's what makes Tommy so special. He holds you through it all and brings everything back to light and love, so you leave with a sense of warmth in your heart, no matter how heavy the experience may have been."
Anna
"My first time trying breathwork, and it was absolutely amazing!
It's difficult to put into words, but it felt deeply healing and filled with so much love.
When I reconnected with my heart and opened up, I was incredibly moved by how beautiful everything felt.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!"
Ida
"Tommy has an incredible ability to create a safe and supportive space for breathwork and guidance.
I've already come a long way in my therapy journey, and my focus now is to connect more deeply with my body and emotions.
I've tried many different breathwork sessions, but Tommy's are truly special.
They have helped me become more present, begin processing memories I had pushed away, and feel more connected to my body.
Tommy brings such a beautiful presence and guidance to his sessions, and I'm incredibly grateful for all the support I've received."
Malin
"I've been practicing breathwork for two years, but Tommy's sessions are something beyond breathwork.
It's healing on a soul level.
Through guided meditation that clearly comes from his heart, the experience expands into something deeper. For the first time, I was able to feel and understand the emotional wounds and traumas I had been carrying.
Breathing techniques naturally offer both physical and mental benefits, but I believe that to truly work through trauma, we also need to understand what we're accessing.
With Tommy, I was finally able to connect with those deeper layers.
Thank you so much, Tommy, for your vulnerability, openness, and energy.
Powerful!"

ecstatic & somatic breathwork

Ecstatic BreathworkEcstatic Breathwork is an expansive style of breathwork that uses deep, rhythmic, and connected breathing without intentional hyperventilation. It can guide you into an expanded or ecstatic state of awareness, often accompanied by a deep sense of presence, emotional expression, and release.Somatic BreathworkSomatic Breathwork is a slower, gentler, and more body-oriented approach. The focus is on listening to the body, becoming aware of subtle sensations, and allowing the breath to support a sense of safety and regulation within the nervous system.

About Me

For most of my adult life, I lived at a fast pace in the corporate world. From the age of 20 to 35, I worked as a CEO, held various leadership positions, and ran my own recruitment companies.I've always been ambitious, and there's nothing wrong with that. But when achievement is driven by a need for validation or an attempt to fill an inner void, it eventually becomes unsustainable. On the outside, everything seemed to be going well. On the inside, things were very different.Six years ago, I decided to make a profound change in my life.Since then, I've explored personal development, therapy, the nervous system, and different approaches to healing and inner transformation.I've also worked with plant medicines such as Ayahuasca and San Pedro, which gave me profound insights and fundamentally changed the way I see myself and life. But I was still missing something.I wanted a tool I could use on my own, in everyday life, to continue exploring myself and integrating my experiences. That's when I discovered breathwork.Through conscious breathing, I found a practical way to reconnect with myself, work with deeply ingrained patterns, and create meaningful change while staying grounded in everyday life.Today, I combine my experience from the corporate world with my knowledge of the nervous system, breathwork, and personal development.I guide individuals, companies, and groups through breathwork sessions in Stockholm. My intention is simple: to help people find greater balance, presence, and inner security without having to give up their ambitions or the life they want to live.

Beyond breathwork

Sometimes, understanding ourselves requires more than breathwork.
Through meaningful conversations, reflection, and gentle somatic exploration, I support individuals in gaining deeper awareness of their emotions, conditioning, relationships, and recurring life patterns.
A space to slow down, explore what lies beneath the surface, and reconnect with yourself.
